CROSS STYLE NEWS UP DATE SEPTEMBER.
What actually can separate us from the
love of Christ? Shall it be tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? In this
ministry, we are persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things
to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord. Because of His love, we members of Cross Style Ministries in Kenya resolved to keep on keeping on with
the work of the Master despite of many strong challenges that we are encountering in life. Our desire and zeal is only to
push on and hung on until we reach the mark. The motto here is always “forward ever backward never”
ORPHANGE CENTRE AND HOME OF COMPASSION
This centre has been registering a lot
of progress in almost all areas until some few months ago that Mr. Trouble came in with a lot of sickness and diseases. Mr.
Trouble got in, when he realized that our Medical centre was closed down or shut, because there were no more health workers
to work with us voluntarily at this Hospital and that we too, did not have enough funds to employ either a nurse or a clinician.
The moment he realized that, he sent
his first attack which was measles. After that, he sent others such us malaria typhoid, smallpox and other diseases.
Due those sicknesses and diseases, things
almost got worse at the Orphanage Centre. Most of the time we had to rush some sick Orphans to the Hospital. Some were admitted
and others were treated then discharged. However, at this very moment the situation has been brought under
control but most of the Orphans are living in fear at this centre.
In order to arrest the entire situation,
all of us, have resolved to pray that God may touch doctors or Nurses to come and work at our medical centre voluntarily.
At the same time, we are praying that in case no body shows up, then God may bring in some donors to help us hire some health
workers to work at our Medical Centre. On the same note we are praying for more medicine and for more medical equipment. We
are praying that God may send to us dentist and eyes specialists too.
With God all things are possible but
with man all are not possible.

ORPHANS EDUCATION
Most of these
Orphans do attend Cross Style Christian Academy
Except those
that are doing their seventh and eighth grade. From the results of regional mocks and exams which are done yearly by more
than 25 Primary schools in this region, it has been discovered that, Orphans at Cross Style Christian Academy are the only
kids in this region that are getting quality education. This conclusion was reached following the first position which this
school has been achieving each and every year for the last three years.
It was also
learnt that both the facilities and the environment at the Orphanage Centre were some of the factors that are contributing
towards the brightness of these Orphans at our Orphanage Centre. Again this was proved when eleven of our Orphans who sat
for their national exams, all passed their exams with high pass and qualified to join any High School in Kenya.
In fact the
results of these Orphans after their national Exams compelled us to start Cross Style Senior Secondary School, a school that
will take them from 9th grade to 12th. From there then they would be mature enough to proceed to other
colleges or to depend on their own.
This High
School was started by faith and is being operated by faith together with the support of some retired teachers who are teaching
at this School Voluntarily. That means that we are still in need of high school teachers who can come and
volunteer their services at this School. The school is also in need of funds, text books, Library books, charts, maps, lab
equipment, and tools for arts. Would you please share this with your friends so that both you and they may pray with us for
the needs of this school.
CROSS STYLE FIRE CONFERENCE AND GRADUATION CEREMONY
It has been
our tradition to host East and Central Africa Cross Style Conference every month of August. This year the Venue of our conference
was Cross Style Proclamation Centre, Ugunja Town Church.
This conference
which brought men and women from different denomination in East and Central Africa got started on the 13th of August
and lasted for six days, did not only leave a history behind, but it left a lot of impartation and transformation upon people’s
lives in this region.
The church
building proved to be too small for the crowd that kept on swelling every day of the conference. Due to the swelling of crowd,
we were compelled to erect a tent to accommodate more people but again to our surprise, by the fifth day and the sixth day
the tent too proved to be too small and as a result, some of the delegates had to look for shade from the near verandahs,
meanwhile other had to use their umbrella to keep them cool from the hot heat of the equatorial sun shine.
All the speakers
kept on emphasizing on the theme of the conference which was; “ESTABLISHING GOD’S KING DOM ON THE LAND’.
It was well expounded by each and every speaker to the extent that, we saw sinners giving their lives to King Jesus. We saw
men and women forgiving one another and reconciling back to God and to each other.
The Spirit
of God moved and dealt with a lot of individual’s characters, healed damaged emotions and delivered those that were
oppressed and demon possessed. At the end of the conference, all those who attended the conference were able to testify that
all of them got something unusual at that conference.
The climax
of the conference was of course the colorful graduation ceremony which was attended by several pastors, court judges, soldiers,
policemen, teachers, Cross Style alumni among others.
All the graduates
were charged by the Director before they were commissioned to go and make disciples all over the world, beginning from their
home areas, then to other parts of the world.
Sunday the
19th was the last day of the conference. The whole Sunday was arrested by the Holy Spirit. At the end of the service
nobody felt like leaving. All remained on their seats demanding for another service. With that demand, we were compelled to
do an open air preaching crusade, just in front of the Church Building. No sooner did they begin praising the Lord at the
crusade than the rain began raining. Again to our surprise, nobody went for shelter. All of them braved it until the end of
the message. God rained his physical rain and spiritual rain upon us. Oh!! How that Conference blessed us. To Him, is the
Glory for ever.
Upon realizing
that that conference was so successful, the enemy got mad again at us. This time, he blinded the eyes of my son Tobit, as
he was driving both my mother and some of my relatives back home. With his eyes blinded, he never saw the bus that was in
front of him and suddenly he crushed the car on the bus. Both the car and the bus were seriously damaged but no body was injured
in both vehicles. The angel of the Lord preserved them.
We will get
to you again with more news from this end. Meanwhile, we are kindly requesting you to pray with us for other ministry needs
