HEROES OF FAITH

Then he said to his disciples; the harvest is bountiful but the laborers are few. Ask the LORD of the harvest therefore, to recruit laborers into his field .Mathew 9:36

So God still calls Men to Villages!

Every thing seem to be going on well, the place was Kampala, that’s where the young man had established a booming business. The question of money didn’t rise in his life. His business guaranteed him all that money could buy. It did him proud especially given that he had acquired – of course through rightful Godly means. A beautiful wife and then their first born Tobit and a big wallet. With this, one would not help but imagine what a heaven in life it must have been.

George Atega and family had for many years back signed into a love relationship with the prince of peace Jesus Christ. It was well with them, well with their sprits and bodies. Despite having settled in Kampala and having sweeping business influence over there the man and wife hailed for one Ugunja village a place which had never Known civilization. The couple could be forgiven if they had ever settled for the idea that Ugunja was a place to forget, a place that never desired their attention for life. How could you reconcile such an affluent family with such a remote village right in the middle of the bush?

Nonetheless, it hereby dawns on us that God was serious when he said that all souls belong to him. He doesn’t prefer a soul in the city to a soul in the village. Electricity or no Electricity, tarmac roads and no tarmac roads, sewer system or no sewer system, none of these bothers God when it comes to delivering his people from the pang of death. That explains why- when he paused to think of his people in Ugunja village- He that is no respecter of persons didn’t hesitate a moment in picking the man he picked for the task. He was not bothered about the status quo that had to be automatically stacked. So, Gorge Kadega heard the voice calling. It was his Lord and Master, One that had previously saved him when he was in form two.

Instructing him to for sake his booming business and answer the call to Christian service. It was a tall order. But as Saul of Tarsus came to know one day, it is hard for a man to kick against the goads. After a great inside battle, he decided to yield to the call but on one condition; that the caller had to be willing to have him work at the Kampala city. In response to this; the Lord came out and clear. The affluent city dweller was expected to forsake the comfort of the city and the comfort that money give and go back to his rural home where he was born. True it was right there, where Jesus had noted before hand that it is unlikely for a prophet to gain honor where Joseph Atega was supposed to settle and serve his God. Further, he was expected to carry his young bride and son along. So how was he to cope? What about his booming business? What about the comfort that he was used to and all that goes with it?

In a single question, the man here under exhaustively answers it all. God still has men that will obey his voice, the price not withstanding. When asked as to whether it was clear , loud and final, no two ways about it heading for his rural home to do Christian ministry the response was;

"It was expected of me to obey God above all else. Yet this end couldn’t have been achieved that easily. The whole Idea of quitting urban life and going to Ugunja- a remote place that knew no civilization – was indeed a toll order.

I turned to my wife. I confide a lot in her especially when intricate issues come my way. But her response amazed me.  She made it very clear that she would never fight God; that she was willing to lay down all her interests for the sake of being obedient to the cause of Christ in our lives.

Well, you need to be told that she didn’t have the kind of an answer that I was shopping from her. I thought she would experience a sense of impossibility. I thought she would look at it as impractical. There after I would go back to God and tell him; "Doesn’t your word say, what you have joined together nothing should do a sunder? Dear Lord should your calling come about and severe my cords with my wife? "

That notwithstanding, I decided to fight it out alone. But it never took me long before I realized I was fighting a loosing battle. It is true no man ever picks a fight with God and went home with a gold medal. Jesus has been fighting from the beginning and He has never lost a single battle but I lost it all. So I had to pick my baggage and leave the comforts of Kampala city and preach the Christ the power of God into salvation. Yes, there we were – away from electricity, away from running water, away from tarmac roads. True! Away from an urban life and all it had to offer- all in the name of the savior and his calling. The first challenge that faced us head on was about housing. I had not considered building a house in the village before this drastic

Turn of events overtook us, as matter of urgency; I put up a muddy grass thatched house to shelter my family. Never worry - in the bush it doesn’t need to be anything executive after all. All you need is a shelter above your head and that is what we      got.

Life started at Ugunja. Initially, we didn’t have problems with cash flow. My bank account that had built up during my business era was still alive and well. Sooner rather than later, I withdrew the last coin and that settled it.

That’s hen Mr. lack; one that appeared to have been accompanied by all his cousins, knocked our door and entered our house hold without an official invitation. Putting a meal on the table had to happen miraculously. Don’t mention delicacies. Time for delicacies was long over. No more eggs for break first no more bacon and all that go with it. Bless the Lord Tobit our dear son was too young to understand our predicaments.

He said it right that said in Kiswahili “Neno litaendelea" (the massage of the cross continually regardless of whatever heavy odd) There` was no time to sit back and sympathize with the situation. It was time to get to the bottom of the matter and settle for a serious business- the massage of salvation. I started one man Evangelistic Campaigns.

CROSS STYLE PEACE PROCLAMATION MINISTRIES

Who are we?

We are a non-governmental, Christian Organization that is based in the Western Region of Kenya. Our outreach ministries extend to countries such as: Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Rwanda, Burundi, D.R. Congo, Ethiopia plus other nations.

We are a ministry that is dedicated to the advancement of the Gospel, soul winning, holistic healing, gap bridging, restoration of hope, transformation of lives and the promotion of peace and mutual understanding among the Christians regardless of denominational barriers, race, tribes or walls.

We are believers who seek God, His face and His entire will for our lives. We believe in Holiness, Preach Holiness, proclaim Holiness and emphasize holiness.

We believe that the Bible contains the true inspired word of God and is profitable for reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness. We believe in the triune being of God (The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit).

Our prayers and desire is to only know Jesus, the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering, being conformed to His death. We are determined to know nobody else except Jesus Christ and Him Crucified.

To us the Cross is not only a symbol but we also believe that the Cross is the Heartbeat of God, that produces Holiness and that any one who desires to come after Jesus must deny himself first, take up his Cross daily and follow Him.

EVANGELISM TRAINING CENTRE AND SCHOOL OF MINISTRY

At Cross Style, we do have a vision and a burden to train and to equip servants of God. As a school of Ministry, our role is to equip men and women who are called by God, so that they can utilize their whole being for Jesus Christ. We cannot be effective for the master if we are not equipped and fully prepared to fulfill our calling.

With that in mind, Cross Style Peace Proclamation Ministries launched an institute which turns, prepares and equips both men and women in holiness, leadership, accountability, stewardship, evangelism, church growth, character development, loyalty, servant hood etc.

SPIRITUAL NOURISHMENT CELEBRATION CHURCH SERVICES

As Cross style ministers; we do preach Jesus to all people wherever we go. Due to our preaching, several churches have been planted both locally and internationally.

All churches planted by us are either known as CROSS STYLE CELEBRATION CENTERS or CROSS STYLE PROCLAMATION CENTERS. All are under the banner of International Faith of Apostles Cross style churches (IFACSC).

Within Cross Style Churches, people do experience a diversity of worship music by the Gospel singers, ranging from National Gospel songs, hymns and contemporary Praise songs.

All are offered as an expression of devotion to Jesus. You may see some members clapping, dancing or raising their hands during our time of praise and worship services.

Cross style celebration centers, are well known to many as; “An Oasis of love churches”. A place where Christ Jesus is highly exalted and any person that walks in is valued and loved.

We do normally begin our services with morning Glory, prayers and intercession. These are then followed by morning teachings, praise and worship, testimonies, choir, welcoming visitors and the Climax of all things, is always the ministry of the word by our renowned anointed speakers, who in turn prays and conduct alter services.

At, Cross Style Churches, a lot of miracles, healing, life transformation, and salvation of souls, manifestation of God’s works are always being registered.

Cross Style celebration Centers are found in more than four provinces in Kenya and also in some countries with Cross Style outreach Centers.

You are most welcomed to attend Sunday Celebration worship service at any of our Cross Style Churches.

MISSIONS AND EVANGELISM

To fulfill the great commission of our Lord Jesus in Mark 16:15 – 18, Cross Style Ministries has embarked on, all methods, ways resources and means to evangelize the whole world. Our most effective ways of Evangelism are:

Operation Simon Peter –

In this we do mass evangelism, open – air crusades, church services under tree, preaching at funerals, weddings and public places.

Operation Andrew:

This is our formula and method of doing door-to-door evangelism. It is the way we do use to reach our relatives and friends with the gospel.

Operation Philip: -

Operation Philip is our system of doing “one on one” Evangelism. During operation Philip. We go on streets, villages and reach whoso ever come our way with the Gospel. Sometimes we do pass out tracts or Gospel literatures.

Operation Paul:

We do regard this as rendering a general ministry. Such as church planting, Discipline, mentoring, school ministry, Hospital ministry, cell meetings, outreach and missions. Our Evangelists are always sent to mission fields in Kenya and in various countries every three months or whenever funds are available or when there is a critical need.

These are always the times when do conduct open – air crusaders, street Evangelism, Jesus film and visitation. Our motto for this task is “ FORWARD EVER, BACKWARD NEVER.”

LIBRARY AND RESOURCE CENTRE

Cross Style do provides other services such as Library services, information, sourcing, consultation communications links and corrections.

At this centre, we do have a well – equipped library with: Bible aid tools, Christians literature, Christian audio tapes, CDs, VCDs, DVDs, and VHF tapes, this resource centre is really helping our people in widening their knowledge and also in drawing them much closer to God.

Since ignorance failed our people, most of them resolved to try books (education, reading). The more they visit this centre, the more truth they do discover. The more

They discover the truth, the more, the truth sets them free.

We do invite you to be apart of this noble work. Pray with us for more books, tapes, VCDs ,CDs, and others.

COUNSELING MINISTRIES.

Due to a lot of emotional trauma, hurts and offences, which most of the people do have in their day to day lives, this ministry has embarked on a counseling ministry, so that our people may be helped and freed from stress, family problems, marital problems, depressions, frustrations, reflections, AIDS worries, pre marital guidance, plus many others. Well trained, counselors are always here most of the times to help any client or any victim who seeks and needs to be helped and healed.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.

Cross Style has partnered with other CBOs, NGOs, Other churches, Government Departments, Youth, Children and adults to bring many changes and civilization to the community.

To fulfill this, we came out with skill training and trade school projects such as: Dairy farming, poultry farming, Agro-forestry, carpentry, masonry, dress making, tailoring, knitting, computer training, typing plus others.

We are trusting God for the required tools, equipment, machines and other instruments which may enable us to be effective in training as many youth as possible, at this centre.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY.

Most of broken homes are being mended and repaired through this ministry. We are receiving many testimonies from men whose marriages were healed following the teachings that their wives got from the women’s conference.

This women’s ministry, is a ministry which is loved by both women and men, just because of the changes it is bringing to both new homes, old homes and broken homes.

Currently, Cross Style women are enjoying various fellowships with other women from other churches and organizations. As a result of their meetings, the women in this region have developed new insight, strong fellowship, new teachings, truth and a lot of development. That has birth and inner desire to do attend both national and regional seminars, workshop, National women’s conference and International Women Conference. All Women are invited to be a part of this ministry. Would you like to link hands with these women? Feel free to contact us for more information.

CROSS STYLE MEDICAL CENTRE

The Health of these people is so important to us. Our Ministry can only be fulfilled when these people are healthy and well. Because of these, Cross Style Ministries decided to build a medical clinic at Ugunja region.

At this health centre, our staffs do offer training on Primary Health care, hygiene, first aid addiction recovery, and the prevention of AIDS plus other diseases.

Sometimes these staffs do conduct a similar training with the Volunteer health workers deep in the villages, rural areas, towns and slums.

Apart from treating the members of the community on primary health care, cross style medical center, is always opened to both out patients and those with emergency cases.

Before these clinic was built, the citizens of this region, used to walk many kilometers carrying the sick patient on either a bicycle or a wheelbarrow to the near by hospital. Upon reaching the hospital with the sick patient, the health workers would then inform them that, the health center is out of medicine. With such reports, most patients could loose hope and never wanted to be rushed to any hospital.

This clinic is operating on donations a lone. Costs are extremely high for the government-mandated staff and lab supplies. But the end result is worth the money, as the clinic serves as the vital outreach post for many.

Our special thanks do go to all the Doctors, Nurses, Clinical officers and Nurse assistants who have volunteered their services at Cross Style Medical Centre. Without your voluntary services, this Medical center would useless.

Special thanks to Dr. Stephen Manley all the great work he has done for the success of this ministry. Our other thanks do go to Kings benevolent funds foundation, for supplying this medical center with medicine. We do commend all members of Style and all well-wishers of this ministry. We are proud of all of you.

However, we are still in need of more medicine, more medical equipment, and some volunteers who can volunteer their services at the Medical center. A lot your prayers and support are highly needed, in order for us to lower the mortality rate in both children and adults in this region.

FOUNDER OF CSPPM

CSPPM came in to existence following the divine call and the vision that God gave to Rev. George Kadega far back in 1986. Bishop Kadega is a renown anointed man of God who said yes to God’s call even though it meant loosing a good business and a home in Kampala City (Uganda).

George’s response landed him to in to a poverty stricken area of western part of Kenya. In that remote rural region, God trained George to live by faith and not by sight. Due to George’s walk by faith, he is currently seeing a big harvest of souls into God’s kingdom.

Rev. Kadega’s ministry involves an Orphanage Centre, training Gospel Ministers, mentoring, pastoral care, discipling, educating vulnerable children, counseling, teaching and a worldwide evangelistic ministry.

“God taught George faith and I learnt faith from George.”

Apostle Mark Hoobler.

“God comes to man with a vision. When he responds to that vision, something incredible takes place. The birth of Cross Style Evangelism Training Centre has been born out of a vision. The unexplainable factor is the intersecting vision of several individuals who have allowed the word of God to produce a greater vision than either could have been alone. The vision of God through George Kadega has a key to the shaping of this great endeavor. We invite you to be a part of what God is shaping for the 21st century.”

Dr. Stephen Manley,

President. Smea.

“I have no hesitation in recommending the ministry and leadership of George Kadega. He is absolutely committed to Jesus and the ministry of the Word of God. The presence of the Holy Spirit in George’s life is evidenced through both his sincerity and the power of God demonstrated through him. When I have been with George, I know that I have seen Jesus. I know that you will feel the same”
